Course and Website Hosting
Our course leverages the Thinkific Labs Inc.’s platform and our site is hosted by Shopify. You acknowledge that we use their online course creation platform that allows us to sell our services to you.
If you purchase a course from our site, Beauté Academy uses a third-party payment processor, for example, Shopify. Payments are encrypted via the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is only stored as long as it is necessary to complete your purchase transaction.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards established by PCI-DSS, as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council. The PCI Security Standards Council is a joint effort among brands such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
The PCI-DSS requirements are adopted to better ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our site, service providers, and related courses.
For additional information, you may wish to read our Terms of Service here (www.beautestudioacademy.com/pages/termsofservice).
Third Party Services
Generally, the third-party providers used by Beauté Academy will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to enable them to perform the services that they provide to us.
However, particular third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies regarding the information that we are required to provide to them for the transactions related to your purchase.
For such providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies, in order to better understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by such providers.
Certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction from us. Consequently, by electing to proceed with a transaction which involves the provision of services by a third-party service provider, your information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
For example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States of America, then your personal information that is used in completing the transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to ensure, to the best of our ability, that it is not inappropriately lost, accessed, misused, altered, disclosed, or destroyed.
If you provide us with your credit card information, such information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption. However, as there is no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage that is 100% secure, we generally follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry best practice standards.
